Isn´t it just a show with actors?

I just had to check wikipedia as i don't actually watch the show. The audience is composed of paid extras, however the legal proceeds are indeed real, the plantiffs and defendants are not scripted.
As per wiki that is.

Wow. I had to look up the yorkie standard because I'm not familiar with terriers, and there is no way on this earth that dog is a purebred yorkie. And the lady would still breed him.

I've seen this same thing in person. I had a friend who bought a "Yorkie" that looked very much like the one shown here, but was WHITE! She never questioned it!

Any groomer in the UK can tell you that "Yorkies" that look like this are not at all uncommon and are the result of breeding pet quality Yorkies to each other without regard for the Breed Standard size. It's not easy to maintain the tiny size as the toy breeds naturally keep trying to revert to their genetically larger ancestry, most of the toy breeds throw a few oversized pups, I've seen Cavaliers almost as big as English Cockers. Soft ears and faulty coats crop up all the time in the tiny ones too, many apparently correct coated Yorkies are as much a result of keeping the undercoat stripped out as genetically open coated, which shows clearly on the pet ones that are clipped. Of course this dog may well be a cross, but going by the number of so called "standard"(oversized pet quality) Yorkies about that look just like this dog, it could easily be a bad purebred one. Puppy farms and pet shops are full of them and always will be as the breed seems to fascinate people, if I ever get one in rescue there is always a queue of people wanting to take it, no matter how old, decrepit, ugly, rotten toothed or bad tempered it is.
