I watched this the night it aired...once upon a time, late night TV was good stuff. Guess I'm getting old. Thanks for sharing Moons.

I posted it in memory of Jimmy Stewart, the poem was secondary.
This was a very personal poem for Mr.Stewart.
I was just surfing through old Tonight Show episodes.
Still a touching moment in time.

I too watched it when it aired.
I always liked Jimmy Stewart and of course Johnny Carson was top notch too.
