A deposit was offered a number of times and was told that it wasn't necessay...
This is a breeder that I definitely wouldn't trust on what they say....
Some people (breeders) have very nice dogs...but if they don't stand behind what they say then they're not worth too much in my opinion...
Also BOLANDHAUS breeders are not Schutzhund people but only people that import dogs and sell puppies for the money...
I would certainly be very careful of any dealings with this kennel and their owners...

You obviously knew this about them before you tried to buy a pup from them. You thought their stock was good enough then. So just because you didn't get your way you slam the breeder. I think I remember you doing this with another breeder a few years back.
Just to let you in on a little something. Anyone who sells a dog or pup is doing it for them money. PERIOD.
I don't know why they said they would give you 3rd pick. Second I could understand. If a breeder has a litter and keeps one for themselves then the first available pick would be after that.

You obviously have not bought or imported or dealth with many breeders in your days. BOB=Q has!!!
He stated he WAS PROMISED THE FIRST PICK
In other words, a person verbally agreed with him in WORD, that they would sell him FIRST PICK OF MALES BORN:
AS BOB-Q like many of us here in the SPORT < DOG : WORLD: we have worked with many long time importers, which BOB has for years, importing many dogs with same breeders in Germany and Belgium. , and we take WORD as GOSPEL
When a man or woman gets on a phone and promises you , because they also Advertise as a litter breeder and offer a man /woman something in WORD, then THAT WORD SHOULD BE HONORED.
BOB -Q honors his word. WHY should all of us be running around throwing contracts out the books, which by the way, usually do not mean one thing, if not written in an attorneys office and all the I's dotted and the T's crossed , as the court systems today and the cost of process by due law is so outlandish in price , most people just drop it and say " I learned one more lesson."
IF BOLANDHAUS can get by telling, by WORD that they promise a person, first pick and then can by RIGHT change a mind, they will not get much reference by people very long..
You see , Americans are tired of YOUR WORD MEANING NOTHING ! BOLANDHAUS may learn a valuable lesson///
YOUR WORD is your gateway to more business. Has nothing to do with Schutzhund " BOB has imported many dogs , titled and untitled and he has bred and sold and trained for years. He buys a dog for its WORTH and ABILITY!
But you UNDO THE TIE THAT BINDS does not set well . Dozens of breeders, buyers and trainers ,have bad dealings more than a few times a year., and have rightful cause to bring names forward if it continues. This is a serious claim. Obviously BOLANDHAUS KENNELS only uses their as does another kennel in PA that is going to be on this database in a week or so , if another person doesnot get his pup he was promised three years ago.
SO see people, in the DOG world, some of the breeders operating with Ads on line and ads in the paper, do what THEY want and DO NOT HONOR what they say , so in this and other cases. THEY SHOULD BE WATCHED CAREFULLY as BOB -Q has so nicely stated above.

X bite, You mention how Qman stated HE was promised first pick. If we have learned nothing over the years here on the PDB it's that we can't take anyones word as "GOSPEL" . Q has nothing showing he was ever promised anything. Maybe he was promised maybe he wasn't. If they did make that promise then, Yes, they should live up to their deal. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing the truth.
Although to get on here and berate this kennel as "not Schutzhund people but only people that import dogs and sell puppies for the money... " after he thought them good enough to originally do bussiness with is just sour grapes. Not too mention hypocritical. I say hypocritical because Q does the same thing.

Again that is done for the money. PERIOD. If it was for the love of the breed ONLY then he would place them in fine homes not sell them. That's the same as these people are doing yet he uses it in a derogatory way when he refers to them. The old adage applies. People in glass houses shouldn't through stones.
I just hate when people try to hold others to a higher standard than they, themselves are willing to live up too.
I hope that things are ironed out between the two parties that are involved. That bargains agreed upon between them virbally or otherwise are lived up too. That is the way things should be.

No one with any kind of business, or family values, would spend money to purchase any animal. whether it be cows for food or chickens for eggs, or birds for show or DOGS for show or breeding puppies, and then not price the same to recoup his investment whether for fun or hobby or for livelyhood.
'The basis of American economy of BUYER AND SELLER is what we all exist on. I cannot spend $2.00 on a flower and sell it for .10cents later and in a year end up with no money to buy any more flowers.
Of course , the ability to sell and buy is what we all basis our LIVES on. Hobby breeding has to also sell to recoup some of the money you spend on the RAISING the BAR on the kind of dog you give back to the masses.
Some breeders sell trash. Most do a good job of selling a very nicely trained and well kept dog. This is all most of us want.
We want our WORD to be true and honored , no matter whether it is for a $2.00 flower for an arrangement or an $1,000.00 puppy for our home or sport or our breeding program.
Supply and demand is still the way we operate our lives in America. It matters not what we call it.
Breeding and selling only one litter a year is making a profit if you can. Many do not. Many do it just to break even and try to keep from wasting money. We are keepers of our Wealth and must always try to stay within our means.
That obviously is called MAKING MONEY.

Thank you Xbite. I'm glad to see that you agree with me that your friend QMAN's statment,

You also then agree that IF, I say IF because we have nothing other than his word, he was promised first pick any decent human being, let alone breeder should honor his word.
It's nice when to people such as ourselves can have a decent discussion on the PDB and come to a mutual friendly agreement.

And if that's the case then there is no proof of who you say you are or who you think you are...Anyone who stands behind a name like Bonnie Blue and then we find out who you really are...Is a liar...Is that right...Bonnie Blue...or George the Goat or whoever you might be...That goes from club to club and gets kicked out...and CAN'T even pass a SchH trial...You know nothing about training a dog...nor do you know how to buy a dog...You go from breeder to breeder...and now...no one will sell you a decent dog...
Even people that you "train with"...make fun behind your back because of the way you are..."You think you know everything...but in reality you know NOTHING"...If you'd just listen instead of always spouting off at the mouth...you might actually learn something...But you've had this same problem over and over again...
You know nothing and NOW...no one wants you around them...because you think you know it all and you haven't done a dam thing...So grow up and LISTEN for a change...
By the way Bonnie Blue=Rick the Dick...ahhh....!
I think it's very funny for someone like you...to hide behind a girl's name like that...
