What is so hilarious about dogs being trained?...especially for Police K9 work?
They are not being trained for "sport"....they are being trained for street work.
I guess that I don't see the "hilarious" part??!
Thank you Jody & Kelly.(for your work)....I suppose unless you actually "train " with these dogs and the business that works with the Police depts....showing ignorance is normal.
Many people have no idea, exactly the amount of stress & training goes into these dogs...especially keeping them under 100% control at all times...and making them work, search & track for hours each day.....in every scenario possible...and on every surface possible.
I was ignorant also......UNTIL we spent the day at your facility....and followed the training from early afternoon until late night.
Just the freakin "obstacle course" had me impressed......unbelievable.
But, I guess there will always be those "Internet experts"...that will chime in.
Best wishes to both of you & all the dogs you train now & future.

I think it would be good to see the obstacle course and the dogs doing that. It has to be the best in the country if not the world. I have checked out other places and even worked with the K-9 unit in this town and they don't have an obstacle course nor do they train for anything that is close. It showed when the officer had to carry his dog over the cattle guard! 
Everyone here I am sure has seen protection work whether it is sport, ppd or police so video some of them doing the obstacle course.
