For those of you who were part of my last thread where it was brought up that my Anna was too thin, I thought you might be interested to know that the blood/urine tests all came back perfectly normal.
The doctor advised adding 25% puppy food to her regular diet, as well as three cups of plain cooked pasta every day to help her bulk up a bit, and split up her meals into three times a day. Gonna re-weight her in a week and see if she's put some pounds on.
If she doesn't, he said it could be IBS (I believe thats what he said), in which case he will run whatever tests are necessary to determine that and treat accordingly.
Hopefully though this will solve the problem though and more tests won't be needed! (:

OK.. woman stop obsessing even when people tell you she is skinny... her father was skiny untill he was about 2.5 years old. Nemah, (Anna's sister) is 20 pounds lighter and she eats about the same as her sire.
my dogs are on 2 cups of the taste of the wild and one quarter of chicken meat, (raw with bones) or turkey or whatever the hell I get in the store.
Anna's sister has ribs sticking out but the energy level she has is rediculous and she will burn it all.
Don't worry.. please she is fine. Remember you do have a very high energy dog, just as I told you when you got her from Jim (I hope you like running...) lol.. I have never ever tired any of my dogs.. they are ready, all the fricking time, even after a 12 mile run next to a bike. All judges look at me like I ma nuts when I finish AD, my dogs are bouncing like they are on drughs where the rest of the dogs has toungs hanging out and they barely walk.
If you need to call me and I will discuss this with you before people have you all stressed out and you worry too much. Her coat is beautiful, she is active and she is just healthy. Remember your dog odes not stop moving..

Hi franquie, glad your tests came back fine. I have a friend with a male GSD who has had every test under the sun, eventually he was diagnosed with Irritable bowl disease/syndrome. This male had terrible intermittent loose stools though, does your girl have any such symptoms?

I have to agree with Pack, I too have owned a female who was incredibly thin. We also tested her for everything, sick to the back teeth of comments from others. She was also so active, I do not believe she ever slept, lol At times it was necessary to keep her in the house, but in the end we could not put up with her constant up and go. The breaking point for me was every time I moved in my sleep she was up on me wanting to go. We also had another female at the time who she could not stand, her obsession with getting at this female also kept her moving. She just never stopped, not even long enough to eat her food at the one time. I do not remember why or how but she did change and by the age of just over 3 we were having to watch her weight, she never ever became less active but we no longer worried about her skeletal frame. So please try not to worry, and just give her time,.
