The first annual youth schutzhund camp is just for the next generation of schutzhund handlers and helpers under 18 years old. We are planning an exciting schedule including a cook-out with a bon-fire and somores, a fun trial, a trip to a water park, dog/handler relay races, and a music jam session. An SV judge will visit with us to talk about what judges are looking for on the trial field, and a Veterinarian will talk with us about K-9 health care. The participants will learn about training, trialing, and caring for the schutzhund dog, and make lasting friendships with other youth in the sport.
What to Bring: Participants should bring their dog; training equipment; swim suits; sun screen, and musical instrument if you play one.
If you do not have a dog that you can work with during the seminar, but want to participate, please contact us, we can provide a dog for you to work with.
NOTE: All youth are welcome at this camp regardless of organization affiliation.
Entry Deadline:
In order to provide quality instruction to each youth participant, space in the camp is limited. Please register as soon as possible but no later than June 21st.
Location: Home of T. Floyd – Westampton, NJ
Topics: Animal Behavior and how to live with dogs safely, discussion around the kind
of dogs for youth to work with, training theory, the importance of

Travel: The Camp location is easily accessible off the NJ Turnpike or Rt 295 in
central New Jersey. The Philadelphia Airport is only about 30 minutes away.

Fun Trial: All participants will be encouraged to participate in the fun trial. We will be offering Obedience and Protection phases only, and participants can work at the level they are comfortable with. There will be trophies and ribbons to mark each participant’s accomplishments along with some fun prizes. Sign up for the fun trial will be done at Camp.
Fees: Participants will be responsible for their hotel expense, but all instruction, the fun trial, the pool party and the cook-out are free to the youth participants.
Donations Needed: Be a sponsor of this important event, and keep it free for our youth. Contact T. Floyd at EastCoastK9@aol.com to support this event. All donations in any amount are welcome and appreciated.

Donations are VERY welcom, I am sure! This Camp is TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY FREE for the kids! Our Schutzhund club made a financial donation because we think it is a good cause. If we are to keep the sport of Schutzhund alive then we MUST get some young folks involved, help T and give what you can....if you can only give a dollar that's fine, every dollar helps support his vision and the future of our sport!
