A friend has this dog that she got as a retired police dog. I was trying to find it and some info but it isn't on PDB and I don't know where to look on the AKC board of the reg #. My guess it is a small time breeder.Any info would be great.

Go to this link: http://www.akc.org/index.cfm You need to make an account so you can visit the AKC Store. Once you have created your account; you should be directed to this page: https://www.akc.org/online_accounts/index.cfm?get_template=refresh_index .

Select "Shop Our Online Store" and then find the link for Pedigrees and select "Online Research Pedigree". You will see another page where you can select "Research Pedigree (Online Only)". You will then reach a page where you can enter a dog's name. Hint - you might just try a first name and make sure to select "German Shepherd Dog" when more dialogue appears. You may need to select "Add A Dog".

The cost is $10.00 for a four-generation pedigree. I just looked and this dog is listed with A.K.C and his pedigree is available. And; after you print the online pedigree, please enter the dog's information here on the Pedigree Database.

Good Luck!

As memory serves; there will be no photographs available from A.K.C.. The O.F.A. has a section for photographs, but few people upload them.

Good Luck,

I sent the info to my friend that owns the dog to see if she wants to buy it.I told her to send me the info if she gets it. I didn't see that there was a free way to see it.

Ok Bob -O Here is the pedigree. There are some dogs that are in thelast generation that are on PDB but nothing up front are on here.I haven't found any info on the breeder. I am guessing it might be someone that had a litter and sold them. This dog Jack went to be a Metro police dog but it  only was there for a few years then retired. Not sure why but my friend that has the dog said it was needy.Maybe it just didn't cut it for the work needed.

I could not see the pedigree. The only way to determine who was the breeder is to obtain a duplicate registration card for this dog from the A.K.C.. I say that - and am not 100% sure that can be purchased. They tend to keep things very private.

Perhaps a web search of the parents' names will show something. If any of the ancestors have A.K.C. or G.S.D.C.A. titles they can be found with some research.

Good Luck!
