my dog is almost 6.5 yrs old and has recently developed this problem. His nose starts to bleed the everytime I feed him meat. The very next day his nose starts bleeding profusely. The last time I gave him Revici tabs & it stopped. Just last night I feed him meat again and today his nose started bleeding again. Has anyone has had the same kind of problem with their dog? What have you done to stop it? Is it some kind of infection or internal problem?
I consulted my vet before giving him the tabs and he is out of station at the moment so I cant take him to any other vet as I dont trust them. Any suggestions?

Dont know about the tablet you are giving but the tick disease Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever will cause nose bleeds. I hope you find out whats causing this and your dog is ok..

Hodie would be a good one to respond to this. What other symptoms does your dog have? Lethargy, cough, loss of appetite, etc?

This is potentially a very serious problem and you must take your dog to a good veterinarian immediately to have a look inside the nose, check blood work etc. If you can provide more information, we may have more ideas. But this is not something to waste time on here. Take the dog to a good vet.

after reading your posts, i researched and came to know that the possibility of canince influenza is less as the symptoms dont show excessive nose bleeding as in my case. i also forgot to add that the blood also had a fluid like thing thrown out during sneezing. i read about Pulmonary hemorrhage and only one matched.
however, thanks for the heads up. I am taking him to the doc first thing in the tomorrow morning.
