Preach it.

And here is what really interests me...  if you look at the dogs winning at the nationals from USA, SV, WDA, etc, they all look the same. So, how can USA claim to be the only legit "breed steward" when they are as responsible for the breed being split in two as the AKC ever was?

I don't get it.  All they have done is fracture and already small struggling sport in the US.   Sad.

Avardean:  Is it not true that if  you live in Germany and belong to the SV they will ban you out if the SV finds out you joined RSV2000?    I'm not trying to compare the two,  just trying to verify the info.

I have heard that is true. I guess the SV feels threatened just as USA does.

I don't know that USA feels threatened, anymore than the SV did, but I don't think it was the best move either!!

Not sure they feel threatened, myself, but their actions make them LOOK threatened.  All they've done is make it harder for people to obtain titles, and I can't see where its done squat for the breed.  (shrugs)

Dumbest by-law I ever heard of.

It is dumb, and it's killing breeders who h.o.t. and KKL in this country. Trial/shows for many are few and far between, this drastically reduces them. So thanks, UScA, for being "for the betterment of the german shepherd dog", and punishing those breeders who are trying to do exactly that. Not all of us have the bucks or the desire to send our dogs to Germany and have everything done via the SV.
