Bitches due date is May 13, 63 days from first mating is 5 days from today. Does the size of the pups look big to you or ok for normal delivery? X-ray was today. Bitch weighed 66 lbs today. Vet had no opinion when asked
I'm concerned about the one towards the back end too, the curved one. Do you think that will straighten out? I count 3 puppies. Anyone see different?

I'm seeing 4, but it's hard to tell. Could always be more hiding too!

I see 5 or 6. Probably 6. A straight one on the left, a flat one at the top, TWO along the bottom side by side, and two close to the exit route, one curved and one inside the curved one.

Oh, I see the one at the top! You're right, I see the one at the top now. Not seeing the one inside the curve though.

Thanks guys for the fast response. Can either of you point to them? I thought I saw more than 3 but the vet said 3. I thought I saw 4.

There are more than three and I agree more likely 5 or possibly 6. It is difficult with the x-ray so small as it is here. And that also makes it tough to discern whether a given pup is too large. One should always be prepared for vet assistance at the time of whelping.

The one across the bottom, if you look closely, you can see another spine right beside it, very close. The other two are obvious. I think I see one (as VM described, flat) way up top, but don't see the spine, so it's possible it's an organ?

I'm only seeing 3 puppies for sure--but a fourth wouldn't surprise me. My vet has always counted skulls (and matching spines) to get a count--and he'll often mark on the x-ray where they are when he's counting.
I wouldn't be concerned by the turned/twisted puppy, should be fine. The pups look big, but not too big.
