i just saw a trailer for an animated film due in the fall called "My Dog Tulip". It's based on a book from many years back i gather. the trailer is very amusing and it has a german shepherd dog named tulip and her older man. BARK magazine's online preview had it. if any one is interested, i would try BARK magazine to see if you can watch the trailer. it looks like any dog lover would enjoy this, especially those of us who have german shepherd dogs.

Anyone who has ever read "My Dog Tulip" would be torn between laughing their head off and wanting to wring her owners neck! It's a great read and shows the difference between oblivious pet owners who simply love their dogs without analysing or judging them and those are for the breed first and their own dogs second.
Sorry to hear they are making a film of it though, they are always disappointing after you have read the book.

i hadn't even heard of the book til i saw the email from BARK, but the trailer was delightful - just what you said about laughing and wanting to wring the owners neck. the animation is not "disney" or "pixar" style - it's far more simple. it was very amusing. i do plan on trying to find the book now though, based on the trailer....i wish i knew how to post the trailer, from the email anyway. if you see it, post again, i'd like to know what you think afterward - if it holds true or not.
