Hi,

I live in the UK and would like to have my GSD bitch SCH1 titled.

Can anybody help or give an idea of the cost of titling to BH and SCH1 level.

I have the dog, just want to have an idea of what it might cost to get her titled.

Thanks

Alan UK.

Be VERY careful if you send her off. PUtting a SchH I on a dog requires a LOT of work to be done humanely and well. Without exception the GSD I have seen sent to Germany for training, and indeed, sent away here in the US have had "slap-dab" force training put on them in order to get it done quickly.  Most are forced tracked, forced retrieved and other nonsense not necessary with a well bred dog.

If you care about your dog at all, be VERY VERY careful about where you send her.   If *I* was going to take a dog in for training I wouldn't ask less than $5000, as I would have to bond with the dog, teach it the language of positive training and put in hours and hours and hours of work, not to mention needing a decoy as well.

Hope this helps.

Depends who & where you go to. I was told by a friend that with shipping(this was from the US to Germany) that it was in the $7,000 range(cost of training and shipping etc)

Sounds about rite in the US you can spend as much as you want even if you do all you can.  The real question is how much is it worth to you to have a titled dog.
