I think that I may be the part of the solution to world peace. When I was in the 7th grade two guys got into a fistfight in gym class. I did not witness it as I was already in trouble for pulling some childish prank. That particular week as I recall it. I had been sent to the principal’s office several times for offences ranging from killing flies inside of other students textbooks, turning up the water pressure in the drinking fountains, gluing quarters to the floor near the pop machine and saran wrapping toilets. Our assistant principal (who really had no sense of humor but did have an unfortunate haircut) did not like me. He was yelling at me and he appeared to be angry because his face was all red.
Our conversation went something like this
AP.- Mr. Govednik how many times have you been in my office this week?
Jeff.- Fourteen or Fifteen….
AP -It is only Wednesday!!!! How would you like detention?
Jeff- I can pencil it in for next week
AP- What are you doing this week?
Jeff – Detention
AP-You should stop trying to be funny
Jeff- I don’t try ..It comes naturally.. You can’t force this kind of stuff
AP- How would you like me to call you father?
Jeff- With a telephone
AP- You can’t spend your life acting out and being a clown get out of my office. I am tired of yelling at you ( I think if he gave up fried food and did some cardio he would have had more endurance)
As I walked out these two guys who were fighting were now laughing hysterically since Mr. Assistant Principal did not shut his office door. He then yelled at them that I was not funny and that if they kept laughing they would be in more trouble.
Recalling this gave me a thought for world peace. What we need to do as Americans is to pull a really huge but harmless prank. Such as forwarding all private line phone calls to Paul Schaeffer (since he is Canadian) for 1 hour. Think about how full his voicemail would be from all the telemarketers alone. Now If the “can you hear me now guy “ from verizon is Canadian we should pick on him. This would cause an international disturbance and other nations would think we are cool and just maybe the world could laugh together and be the first step to world peace
For this to gain any traction I will need to have some success. This is where you come in. I will need you all to sponsor trophies. If I appear to be a success this idea just may gain traction. Remember when you sponsor a trophy you are not just supporting the working dog movement in the United States you are supporting World peace
