Mystere

Hodie, Your SUGGESTION is precisely what I have done for weeks. LOL It really is a waste of time to even think of addressing the same foot-stomping, name-calling, mischaracterizing, general 9th grade "mean girl" crap we all saw (maybe even participatedin ) in junior high. Glad to see you back, btw. You have always contributed greatly to this forum with information, passion and an ethical rudder many appreciate. That it got to the point of miscreants actually threatening you is appalling. Unfortunately, it is so easy for those with "phoney" screen names who are virtually UNKNOWN TO ANYONE, (even those "friends" they pm regularly having no clue to their name ) to play such cowardly games. More adolescent nonsense. Phoney screennames and Yahoo/Hotmail accounts are not suits of armor. :-) There are means to unmask them and, if you want to pursue it, I know a PI who makes a specialty of tracking down and identifying internet vermin. :-)

Welcome back Hodie.

Don't let the slimey loathsome loser get you down.

If there is some way you can investigate this and give the loser yet another felony conviction, that would be great.

Thank you Mystere. There are many here, including you, who have stood up for what is right on more than one ocassion. One of the problems is that new people are always coming here. Some, for certain, are people simply signing in under another name just to get bogus support for their views that they don't have from most of us. But others genuinely are new. It is important that when someone IS new and REAL, that they read the posts thoroughly and read many threads. Within a few days it becomes clear what situations really are going on, and it becomes clear what views are held by whom. There is, as we have often pointed out, no problem with honest, legitimate discussions on these dog topics. Many times people here, even people who like each other, have divergent views. But there is something very wrong with people who come only to stir up trouble, have no real experience or understanding and just post crap.

There are many here who don't like what I say and I am fine with that. But, as Jenn has pointed out in the past, there are certain issues ALL dog lovers should be able to agree on. Further, knowing that I might not always agree with someone else like you, or Jenn, or even my friend Slamdunc does not EVER take away from the fundamental respect I have for all of you. Like most here, including all I mentioned and others, I come here to help. I often find myself trying to provide a second viewpoint against the common threads that all things now a days are conspiracies, or just plain incorrect or dangerous information about health or toxicology or training issues. For example, the recent thread on "Is tap water safe".....the ignorance shown in that thread about the constitution of water is astounding.

I get tired of providing a rational approach to things. And certainly, like others here, I get tired of feeling like I constantly have to defend myself from personal attacks and threatening personal emails. There is a difference in intent and actions between those whose life experience is different from mine and those who really have no experience. There can be disagreements because science disagrees, but there should also be some real contribution from posters rather than simply wanting to fight.

Most of us have been here a long, long time. There are others whose opinions are highly valued who lurk and post now and then. There are rookies who show up, listen, learn, and end up contributing a lot. There are a number of people here who have wonderful senses of humor and good experience. Most of us get along fine, and when we disagree, we can do so knowing that fundamentally, we have respect for those we disagree with. That is the difference between people here. It is not, at least for me, about whether one breeds titled or untitled dogs. The system is imperfect and there are rational reasons for holding or not holding to that system. But it is about whether one REALLY is breeding for reasons other than it pays their bills.

As for Janice Bartmess and others like her, there should be nothing but contempt for her and those like her. Whether one has ever been involved in rescue or not, in the end, it should be about the dogs. The bare minimum standard is providing exercise, food, shelter, water and attention for the dogs. Whether one ever trains a dog or not, those things are the bare minimum requirements for owning an animal. When one choses to not provide those minimum requirements and allows animals to waste away lying in their own excrement and urine, one has crossed the line that all of us drew.

Deleted duplicate post as someone is actively deleting this thread at this time. I suggest everyone copy and past every time you post and when a thread gets deleted, just post the damn thing again.

Hi all you guys!

DDR-DSH = Janice Bartmess = convicted for abuse/neglect.......although she will say it was AR activists and write novels defending the abuse.

Glad to see you're back, hodie, whether or not we'll ever agree again, LOL!  There is right and wrong, and whole bunch of gray in the middle that those of us who truly care about animals needn't let stand in the way of banding together for their welfare. When something is so clearly WRONG, it is equally WRONG, IMO, to stand by and say nothing. I posted this before, but I think it bears repeating:

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
