The Alpha K9 Schutzhund Club (United Schutzhund Clubs of America) has been terminated. Its officers and members have made the right choice.

The United Schutzhund Clubs of America (USA) BYLAW change will not benefit the German Shepherd Dog. USA will not take away our freedom of choice, it is un-American.

Our members are happy to be free of this socialist intent. We are members of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America - Working Dog Association (GSDCA-WDA) and will continue to support this organization by working closely together.


How many other clubs have disband?

I don't know of many clubs, but I know alot of people who will not rejoin the UScA, I am one of them.
How dare they try to tell us we can't belong to another club?
This can only hurt the breed they pretend to care for so much.
Maybe when they end up with just a few members they will come to their senses.

I am a WDA member and did not re-join the UScA.  My club joined the WDA in January.  Our affiliation trial is May 2 with Charlie Starr and he will do a showmanship seminar the day before.  We are having a Joanne Fleming-Plumb seminar in August, a National Training seminar in September, and hopefully a real trial in the fall and Michigan's first WDA conformation show.  We're the only WDA club in Michigan but will not just be a "paper" club or club that only trains and never hosts.

This is not something I've lost any sleep over.  If UScA does not want our money, we have no problems taking it to the WDA and entering their trials.  I don't have time for the politics, just want to train and trial my dogs.

Both my memberships expired but with my two young girls I needed to renew. Only renewed one, and it wasn't UScA!

I actually played around with the idea of renewing GSDCA as well so I could enter my new pup in the SS in June, for the experience of the pup and my daughter who will be handling her, but forget it. I'll go to Virginia in October.

I'm starting a new GSD Club here in the U.S.
We will take over as the sole GSD club in the U.S. recognized by the WUSV and the FCI Working Commission.
