Raymond:

I can honestly say I don,t know?. It,s not a new revaluation I understood how it worked 13 years ago when I became a member.

Einstein:

A basketcase study.

by StephanieJ on 02 November 2010 - 16:11

@Bob- Does it not bother you that Usca is being run in an inefficient, unethical, and perhaps illegal manner? How can you think that politics (dog club or otherwise) are not going to affect your training?Has it not occurred to you that there are animal rightists that read this board? What a field day they might have with the fact that an organization that supports the breeding of large, biting dogs is being run in a matter perhaps open to litigation from those outside the membership.

@Ron-but perhaps this should not be of concern to me as I am no longer a Usca member?

Einstein may be a putz and basket case study but his queries seem to be making some people very uncomfortable, eh?

Bottom line is this! those who are members of usca must become  aware and interact with the  activities of the arganization! All those who love and enjoy and train and breed the gsd, as well as the other breeds that also  train and compete in usca1 must become  aware of what is transpiring ! they must make their voices heard insted of sticking their head in the ground! If usca continues to remain fractured and  divided the leadership willl do as they please and demand us to like it!  Have they(USCA ) been sucessful in lulling us to sleep with the  events of the past year or have they slapped us awake?

Steph:

I don,t wear underwear so I,m never uncomfortable, Are you a animal cookoo?. Large dogs that are trained, all dogs will bite we just teach them manners.

People this is dog training no matter who wins this election or what agenda they pick I,ll guarantee my training will not change to fit the flavor of the month club. This whole thing has been spun out of context by a few effected trainers and they have done a excellent job of whipping up the emotional responses of "Give me liberty or give me death" folks and thats fine but everyone needs to step back and take a big breath and really look at what is going on. The WDA can,t exist with out the GSDCA the GSDCA has no desire to uphold the breed standard of the working dog. The GSDCA only keeps the WDA around for the S.V. with out the GSDCA the WDA can,t get S.V. judges,Can,t get recognized titles. WDA has far fewer trials then UScA . The UScA has several times attempted to reach out to the WDA for the betterment of the organizations and the working breed and been jerked around each time so now when the line is drawn and your asked to make a choice everyones underwear is in a bind(not mine of course). UScA (if i,m not mistaken) still gives more opportunities for trialing other then GSD breeds then any other Organizations and still offers a all breed championship.

I think I,ve hit on most of the bullshit bases. I,ll tell you this after this election I,ll set down and have a good time
with anyone no matter what abbreviation is behind the club name as long as there interested in training dogs and having a good time doing it.

I hope for the best for us all in the long run.

And Elvis has left the building...

Steph....where are you getting this nonsense from? If all that is true than it will all come out in the wash....If JA is rescinded than all the nonsense will cease...NOPE! There is a lot that USA can improve on and I'm sure we will improve. I train my dogs no matter what Organization is available....and I'll continue to do so.

by StephanieJ on 02 November 2010 - 19:11

 @Bob- Tmi re the underwear.

Public perception of dog sport would be better addressed in its own thread.

Suffice it to say that the biting part attracts a lot more attention than the control part.

Hoping for the best has very little to do with obtaining it. While I find it commendable that you and Ron plan to continue training no matter what, I also find it sad that you are willing to tolerate shenanigans to do so.

Indulge me a little-What if Einstein is right and there are illegal procedures being perpetrated in your (members') names?

@Ron-This sort of occurrence is nothing new for Usca. Maybe it is time to step off the training field for a while and make sure the new boss is not the same as the old boss.

by Bob McKown on 02 November 2010 - 19:11

I tolerate what I must when I must, Since Einstein came here on the premise of "a case study" lets go to school shall we!.

Life isn,t easy it,s complicated, there is the spirit of the law and the letter of the law and then what it takes to get the job done. Shenanigans are what you make of it. The many will be governed by the few thats life thats the way it is. There is no perfect rule or form of ruling. If it bothers you so much became a advocate of truth and justice and do something about it. But while you are I,ve got dogs to train.

While your at it could you give me a couple examples of what you feel is a perfect run organization?

Can I show you where the horse bit me? or how about a story of the first time I made love to my wife?
