People can hate and wish this is the case but the truth of the matter is the 2013 WUSV is still being hosted by the GSDCA. There is a way to find out for sure if you just need to know and that to contact the WUSV or the SV yourself - Not your hating buddies in Germany or your hating buddies here.
Question: What is it that GSDCA or WDA are doing that affects what UScA or any other organization is doing? GSDCA and WDA are still here and UScA is still doing business as usual. You are still the "self proclaimed Guardian of the Breed", you are still the "self proclaimed premier GSD organization" in this country, why do you need to destroy another organization to maintain that status?
UScA and WDA are just a bunch of people who want to train dogs. I don't understand all the hate.

I don,t see any hate here? Just conversation. Discussing things that we have heard. I hope every thing is well in Atlanta.

Now if we can just get UScA to actually represent the membership..... by which I do not mean to imply that WDA is necessarily doing a great job of that. :)
Hear, hear! At least we can vote with WDA. Got a ballot last month. WDA is almost in the opposite direction, I get ballots for issues that to me look like no-brainers, or things seem to have little impact either way (but what do I know?)...but at least we all get the ballot to vote, no matter how seeminly insignificant the issue.
I'm not a member of the GSDCA and never plan to be. I no longer enter AKC events with my dogs and they are only AKC registered b/c that is the FCI recognized registration in this country.

In this day and age of PETA, "animal rights" and legislation destructive to the showing, performance and breeding of dogs, one would think that people who truly have their breed's best interests at heart as so many proclaim to do could band together to defend against clear and present threats from people who would like to see NO dog ownership at all. Petty battles and snarky insider politics don't help defeat the menace.
That's my last word on the subject, so the snarky and petty here can have at it if they want to.

"Today I announce my resignation as President of the GSDCA-WDA. I have learned that one must be able to live with oneself in order to enjoy all that life has to offer. At this time, when so many great things are happening around me, I find myself mired in the political strife of the GSDCA-WDA and GSDCA. And to what end is the political strife going to benefit our great breed? It will not. I was elected because I would fight for the membership. Now I find that I am so politically correct that I quit fighting for all the wrong reasons. I can no longer be part of the lies and deceit.
The GSDCA-WDA can never fully realize its place for the breed as long as it falls under the realm of the GSDCA. And fall it does. The GSDCA holds the seat in the WUSV and controls the flow of judges, events and all paperwork. The GSDCA-WDA relationship is built around the fact that the GSDCA wants to maintain the seat in the WUSV and the GSDCA-WDA is the only way to keep it. For years, the SV and WUSV have been misled by the GSDCA WUSV Liaison, Dr. David Landau, regarding the relationship between the GSDCA and the GSDCA-WDA. Wolfgang Henke, President of the SV, made reference to this deceit while speaking to the membership at the 2009 North American Sieger Show. The written agreement between the GSDCA and the GSDCA-WDA was demanded by the SV once they learned of the true depth of the deceit. The deceit continues as the membership numbers reported to the WUSV are inflated. GSDCA is not the largest German Shepherd organization in the United States. One only has to look at the last issue of the GSDCA Review to validate the membership numbers. One day soon the lies must stop. The GSDCA will never adhere to the world standard of the German Shepherd. Never will the German Shepherd be a working breed in the GSDCA. In all honesty, in the United States there are two breeds of German Shepherd - the world standard and the GSDCA standard. Only one has been around for over a hundred years. In an effort to work with the GSDCA, I failed you- those who elected me to serve.
