I,ve got a valid question. Since the S.V. is our parent organization and they also have indicted a "restrictive by law" into there membership(WUSV2000) is not the JA amendment moot? If so how many people that have both USA and SV memberships going to drop the SV ?.

Bob,
Is that something you are actively try to change. And, if (WUSV2000) was in effect as you say ....why the JA amendment?........Just wondering...........

Bob,
The SV restricted membership in the RSV2000. The restriction only applies to Germany as the USA rules only apply to the United States. The two are not connected. USA would have been well advised to examine the repercussions of the SV decision to restrict membership. Many left the SV for the same reasons many are leaving USA now.
If you recall just after the 2003 Sieger Show in Bakersfield, USA drew a line in the sand and made the same proclamation they are making now and would not recognize any WDA score books or results from any WDA event. The WDA wrote a very nice letter to the SV asking if the SV was OK with USA not accepting results from SV judges. The SV promptly wrote USA a letter basically saying if USA did not recognize results from SV judges, the SV would basically stop sending SV judges and sanction them. USA sheepishly accepted the decision and took a similar hit then as they are now.
USA apparently feels if a decision has to be made between USA and the WDA, the masses would follow USA's lead. This time they are able to get away with it as they are following the SV example. The WDA took the high road and offered more services incorporating all of the SV services. Once again, USA is taking a hit.
There's no vision for the breed. There's no protection of the breed. There's no disagreement where the WDA jumped ship and went with the GSDCA. (The WDA can't leave the GSDCA it's their parent organization) There's just the USA leadership on a self righteous crusade dividing the already meager assets within the US. The ones suffering are the competitors that have to navigate the crummy rules to enter events as if it wasn't already difficult enough. I'll ask anyone to show me in the past 6 months something USA has done as the protector of the breed that's different from what they did a year ago. It's a smokescreen.

Interesting. So, pointing out a significant flaw in your plan is "negative" ? Odd, everytime I point out that the Emperor is actually butt-naked (and has a dinky winky) the Emperor claims *I* am "tainted," "negative," or just plain being a bitch. Typical. LOL Have fun with that, Brent.
Preach to your heart's content. It won't change the nature of your plan one whit.
I am done with this-talking to such disingenuous crap is a complete waste of time. But, hopefully, it does make a few think about it.
Adieu.

IMO it's not a significant flaw unless, Mystere, you know that there is a plan afoot in USA to for pro-JA people to ask to become delegates of clubs and vote contrary to their wishes at the GM in November.
Otherwise, if a club needs representation and tells a delegate, "If you are our delegate at the GM, you must vote as the club instructs, period. No changing. Will you do this? If you do not guarantee this, do not take the position." Then the delegate takes the position, knowing they're lying all the time, and votes differently than instructed at the GM.
Who would do this? And if they do, I'd help pay for a full-page ad in the USA magazine listing their names. I believe that there are stil people of their word involved in the GSD breed.

Tess,
The focus now is on the election. The JA is the catalyst that's getting people involved. (Those that haven't abandoned USA and moved on or found a home in the WDA, DVG, etc.) Those that remain interested in US have the opportunity to fine tune the organization for the future. I think if you look back before the November 09 meeting the organization was a very popular, well run organization. I always found the help I needed in the USA office. The staff has always been professional and courteous to me. Events are well run and well attended. Any problems encountered were probably no more or less that in any other organization. In fact if you recall the WDA wasn't doing so well at the time. They were overcoming some rules and situations that had some members very unhappy. Maybe this is why the leadership thought the JA would work. Unfortunately many Americans do not like to be told what they can and can't do. The WDA may have had problems but the JA came along and made any problem the WDA had go away.
The current USA leadership could follow the WDA leadership example. As the WDA made mistakes or passed rules that were not popular or produced situations other than the one that was desired, The WDA leadership was swift to react and made the correction.
Think how simple a solution to this situation really is. USA could fix it by calling a special meeting and reverse the last three amendments they voted on in the November meeting and it's over. The sun comes back up, the loyalty card goes in the trash can, you call USA up the next day to renew your membership over the phone and have access to all the events/services offered by both organizations again.
The bylaws provide a way for the clubs to do this also. Just look at Article VII, Section 1, c. The clubs can call a special meeting if a petition signed by the majority of full member clubs is sent to the Secretary. The issue would have to be addressed and the support would be in place to address it and pass it. This is the best was for the membership to effect a change, but it's a lot of work pulling together over a hundred clubs for support.
As the elections approach. One has to wonder what the future of USA is if allowed to stay on it's current path.
