ziegen, not clear what you are saying. As far as the U.S., there were competitors from both UScA and WDA there last week. And I do understand how these dogs and competitors affect the breed. Not sure where you are coming that the organization matters.

Good dogs and good trainers are not determined by the organization they choose to participate in. Or even the organization that chooses to not allow them to participate. Can you clarify.

zf, I know Wallace and agree with him completely.

I also believe that the direction of the GSD is best determined from the ground up, not by an emperor. One man (or one woman), one vote.

Still not sure what you are saying or which side of the fence you stand on. And no offense intended. Do you agree with Bob or not. Do you choose a side or not. And the reasons for your choice.

It will be nice to see what transpires after all the dust settles. I don't agree with all that has gone on but, I'm sure there is fuel for change in a lot of aspects of the organization. November is here folks! I'm choosing USA no matter who is voted in to office!

I agree Judron, But when I say there is a side to pick one must relaize there are more then 2 sides to any issue it,s not just a USA-WDA issue.

ziegan:

I also agree, Alot of breeding is a popularity game the flavor of ther month if you will.

The issue is whatever you choose it to be for you, Bob....the issues aren't the same for all:-) no matter how many sides there are. I chose my side and the residuals that come with it...hopefully it will be more trials and great training! I'll leave the breeding stuff to others.

Training should never change no matter who or what popular political holds office. Thats also what is funny about this several here on this board would have you think that training revolves around the politcal agenda...training should never change, good training is good training.

Ron Harris will be nominated from the floor for National Breed Warden. IMO we (USA) NEED a new NBW and hope that Ron will get the votes needed to make some changes and improvements in that venue. molly

"...training should never change, good training is good training."

I agree with this Bob, hence why I no longer belong to either organization and am just focusing on training my dogs.  Since I'm not prepared to trial yet, it's really been a breath of fresh air, not having to deal with official clubs and politics, especially as someone who is small time, just owns and trains a few dogs (no breeding).  It's also been a lot cheaper!!!
