its very simple , if you breed a litter and let three people come to pick a pup
one the best build for show
one the darkest puppie
and one the best for work

all three will , most of the time ,  choose a different puppie , do this for over two or three generations and you will have totally different dogs , all sharing the same grandparents

Yes, Duke and then we go back and look at HISTORY.....Look at the MARTIN  brothers and what happened to their selections and which way they each chose  to turn.

And WHAT   changed each of their directions???????? (  Just using them as one of many  as an example.)

I won't go into detail, but I've been seen a couple of their dogs and wasn't really impressed. Personally, I will pass on dogs with Anerbri lines in the pedigree.

Looks are the last thing I would look for. I just say they have some good looking dogs and they had a litter out of a javir son I was looking at.  I did not look for a CZ dog per say in fact that would be my last choice due to the inconsistency and who knows what the pedigrees actually where over the years unless they where mostly German working lines. Personally I always look in Belgium breeding for my dogs do to the fact I always get good working dogs from their breeding's. May not be the prettiest by far, but usually will do fine on sport field or for police. I do like the pigment some of the Anrebri dogs have. My whole reason for asking was concerning the Javir son litter my friend saw this dog and worked him and said he was a really nice hard biting dog with great drive. I did see a young dog out of that Ox Cz dog and a Bitch from Belgium and he is a year or so old and what a great dog in the bitework and has tons  of natural aggression and fight drive. Good luck training all
PS to answer someones question on here about combining looks and workability  I will quote a German friend of mine when ask this question "when this is done both loose and nothing is gained,2 different creatures and you usually get the worst of both instead of the best of both."

Love the looks of their dogs, and considered importing one in the past but I'm perfectly happy with my Mambo son.  Here is one I thought looked awesome that they sold a good while back from Anrebri.  I don't know about in the US, but they have titled some dogs over there out of Francesko. I can't remember who the sire and dam were of the female below though, nor do I know enough about Anrebri's lines to say anything.

YellowRose points out a litter announcement that says:  "Female puppies from the top sport litter of Czech and DDR lines!!!! "
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/classifieds/106562.html

No criticism of the breeding, however, the intro presented is somewhat misleading, for those are some of the most renowned West German working lines:

Ellute Mohnwiese, is father of the mother and his lines through Tom Leefdahlhof are very well known, and Felix v. Haus Pixner, litter father from Austria out of Cherokee von den Wölfen.
