Myracle

Why should he interest himself in training with you at all, if he's able to satisfy all of his drives all by his lonesome, on his own terms, whenever he wants?

Put the toys away.  The only thing he needs is PERHAPS a Kong in his crate.
Other than that, you own the toys, and he only plays with them on YOUR terms [aka, the toy is an extension of you, and he must interact with you, to have access to the toy.]

Mudwick is right!  You are allowing him too much free time with the toys!  Toys only come out when you are playing with him and them too!

Ruger,
You have to be more exciting than everything else in his world.  You must be the center of his universe, the world must revolve around you.  You own the toys, they are not his.  You have to teach him to play and develop his drive.  You have to encourage and build it.  You need to learn to teach your dog how to play the game.  This is not that easy and is hard work.  At the end of a training session you both should be winded and tired.  You have to be super high energy and praise the daylights out of the dog for tugging on the ball or toy.  The dog learns that playing the game with you is how he gets praise and reward.  You must make him earn the toy, nothing in training is free.  He must earn it and work really hard for it.

I take my dogs out every day with a ball on a rope.  I never go out with the idea of just playing with my dog.  There is something that can be learned from every session of "play."  I plan it ahead of time, even if I just take a minute before getting the dog to get my thoughts together.  These sessions are fun and high energy, and my dogs are crazy for them.

You've gotten some good advice already as it relates to picking up the toys and making Prince earn his play time with them.  I would also recommend use of frustration to increase his intensity level.  Back-tie your pup and move the tug around just out of his reach until he really wants it...ideally, you eventually want him barking for the toy.
