We always used to put a mixture of meat tenderizer, baking soda and just enough water to make a thick paste.

You could try ammonia like for jellyfish stings?? No idea if it would work though.

"same shit different day".   Moons response to the ongoing dramas on this site.

Hey, would like to say "I know what you are going through" but ...

THERE AREN'T ANY TICKS WHERE I LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  : )

And that's why I live here.

Spent 11 months in Arkansas and now won't go further East then Bellevue, Wa.

Nocurs where are you from? Although Im now in Vegas lived in Wa for years. Dont hear of Bellevue too often anymore unless a sister is complaining about work.

Two Moons you can try quercetin. I use QBC plex works great. Better than benedryl for dogs (which imo doesnt work worth a crap) You can always get a rx for lidocaine gel. Wont stop the itch but it numbs it up pretty good.

I live in beautiful Tumwater!  I've only ever seen ticks on a deer around here. Maybe we have them, but haven't seen one in 51 years here, so here I stay! I HATE BUGS!!!!!!

Poor Moons! Try rubbing deodorant on the bites. Of all the remedies I've found for itchy insect bites, deodorant works the best. Stick or roll on seem to act the fastest, but spray on works too.

If it is chiggers, block their air hole with nail polish.  They will suffocate.

If it is tick bites, splash Thayer's medicated witch hazel all over.

www.mothernature.com/p/Thayers-Witch-Hazel-Astrigent-Medicated-With-Aloe-Vera-12-oz/101293.html

If you don't know, try on arm with nail polish and the other with witch hazel.

Good luck,

Michele
