Great post Maggie...and perfect timing!  Now I have a good excuse to go out tonight and have a glass of wine! Just don't tell anyone that we have well water from a 200ft deep well that goes through a regular filtering system and then through a reverse osmosis system :).

Actually, I think Ben Franklin said something to the effect," Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy".

That much E. coli in water??? Are you drinking water downstream from a cattle farm??? City water is heavily chlorinated, and well water should be drawn through a filtration system.

I love my Belgian beer, but I seriously doubt that it is healthier for me than water.

Although I like wine it doesnt like me much. However for all of you like myself living in 105+ heat right now, may I recommend a lemonaid/mandrin vodka summer cooler served in a chilled martini glass rimmed with a touch of sugar and a lemon twist. Sure to please most esp after say about the 3rd one.

For everything else Ill take distilled water which I drink by the gallons.

What a timely post Maggie :)

I have popped the top of a Barefoot Pino Grigio to toast my dear friend Abbie who has gone on to a better place.

Always drink to remeber, never to forget

Rookabadooka,

Have you tried Santa Margherita pinot grigio? It is my favorite.

And my sincerest condolences for your loss...

thank you...

No I have not tried those.  I will say on these hot southern days "Firefly" ice tea flavoered vodka and lemonade with a sprig of mint is a real refresher....

I have had those... Very delicious. I don't know if you have a taste for whiskey (good whiskey that is), but Maker's Mark whiskey, lemonade, cherry syrup, and crushed ice is also a most refreshing summertime concoction.
