Mystere

It is perfectly normal.   Good pack drive.   But, don't be surprised if he is more inclined to "wander" from the yard, once he is older and "pubertyized."   Then, he will be happy to go exploring the neighborhood.

If properly trained it should make no difference pubertized or not.

Yep!! That sounds about right. All the GSDs I have had would be right behind me.Even if it was to the other end of a room and back. They HAD to be there. Even if they were sleeping sound and I tried to sneek away it never worked!!! If i went to the bathroom they would be on the other side waiting. If : went to the neighbors they would wait by the door till I got back. I think it is one of the best traits of a GSD. Loyalty at its finest

AKGeorgias mom

Georgia follows me where ever I go except when the kids go to bed.  She will lay in the hallway by the kids' rooms until I go to bed, and then come in by me.  She absolutely has to keep the kids within her sight at all times.  If we're outside, she'll lay by my lawn chair and watch the kids play until they go out of her line of sight, and then she'll just walk over to see what they're doing and come back.

As one of my friends says, it gets pretty crowded in the bathroom when all three of her pack members insist on following her in there...

Along the same lines, are your GSDs nosy?  Drake is interested in everything I do.  When I shop, Drake has to check every bag that comes through the door.  If I get something new and place it on a table, he checks it out.  If I move furniture, he checks where it was, as well as its new location.  When I'm cleaning, he's right behind me, making sure I do a good job, LOL.  He also smells any candles I light, like he's deciding which is his favorite scent.  Nothing goes unnoticed in my house!  Link was the same way, especially with the candles.
