Yes, Triode Girl, you and your dog would experience only rejection from the psychiatric community. Remember, though, that there are many Pet Psychics more than willing to help you unravel the "whyness" of his behaviour. I, however, am not one of them. If the answer to that question comes to me in a dream, I will let you know.
You might try this: Whilst holding his head with a firm yet loving embrace, look deep into his doggy eyes. First verbalize the question to your canine companion, "Why?" Repeat it several times, "Why....Why....Why...." Then let the question become an unspoken mantra, extending out from your heart to his.. If you find it necessary to glue a bit of hot dog onto the bridge of your nose to encourage him to maintain eye contact with you, do so, Remember, "whatever it takes", themz the rules...
Now listen quietly and carefully with your heart. Quietly, Carefully.... Quietly, Carefully.... Quietly, Carefully...............
Let us know what you find out.

P.S.
I doubt if this will help much, but it Could....

those people are frauds.
Surely if you tried you'd have some kind of gut feelings as to why the dog would not come.
In my opinion it makes a big difference as to what actions to take.
Good training requires an understanding,
or you could just put that pinch collar on him and continue dragging your dog around your yard.
Trust me there could be several reasons for the behavior some very common and a few not so common.
P.S.
Stevo,
I thought you were going to bail, have no further part in the BS on this forum.
Change your mind?
I read old posts too.

As for the dog, I think he knows what he's saying.

@Two Moons
I really shouldn't be so cryptic, should I?
So let me give you, personally, a more direct and clear answer. If what I have seen of your input into this forum was "as good as it gets", I'm sure I would have wandered on long ago. Fortunately, that is not the case as there are some pretty decent folks here. Just have to sort out the punks from the others, know what I'm sayin' Kuz?
Hey, what's your real name anyhow?

You have some bone to pick, or are you being what you claim to have such a distain for here on the database?
You may call me Moons.

@Jesus Two Moons
Sorry, I don't do drama.
You'll just have to find other playmates with which to entertain yourself.
And just think, our relationship was over before it even started. How Sad......

whatever the reason I think you missed something somewhere along the way.
Only you can see what we cannot, it's always been up to you observe and make a choice.
Dragging is not a proper correction or method of training.
Both positive and negative means are required.
Good luck,
Brent.
