This is Gator.

A one time training seminar differs from an on-going, developmental training program.   We hope to establish a regular, top quality training program with Dean here in the Pittsburgh area.

Dean is currently working with a very talented young handler and her 9 month old son of VA-Gorbi Kirchenwald X VA-Ronda Zabershof, Cai v. Airmont.  Cai has been shown twice in the conformation ring and won, both times, with distinction.  Not just a pretty face, he is a highly respectable tracking and obedience dog.  As for protection, Dean's evaluation is "Genetically superior grips."

I was not able to attend this past week end as I was dog-sitting for my daughter.  I'm going to try (if I can change my work schedule) to make it this coming week end and, if I'm able, I'll be happy to let you know how it goes,

The training weekend was fun and demanding!  Obedience expectations were kicked up many notches. Dean's decades of expert helper/trainer wisdom is impressive.  Smart, safe, strong & strict.  Dogs loved his protection work.  Several folks donned the scratch pants to learn what it feels like on the receiving end of protection work--including a lovely young lady who worked Dean's Zita in the blind, escape bite and a truly impressively athletic long bite.  (The helper outweighed the dog by probably only 30 pounds!)  Showline, working line, beginner to SchH 3 (and everything in between), VA to G (and everything in between)--and two beautifully athletic dobermans.

Dean will be in Pittsburgh again this weekend.  Our plan is for Dean to train here a minimum of two weekends per month.  Consistent, developmental training directed by an expert coach is a recipe for both dog and handler to reach their full potentials.

One of my pups went to a fellow in Pittsburgh, I was trying to convince him to go, but I don't think he did, darn it. Would love to hear from those who attended! jackie harris

Forgot to mention that our petite, budding helper, also worked Dean's Verdi in the blind and escape bites.

GCK,

The clinic sounds like a great beginning for success in the future. If
Dean can dial in just a hand full of people, the group will grow exponentially.
I wish we could have Dean starting working Dog clubs all over the Country. This
may be his calling in life.

One question,,,,,,,,,,, was the petite helper a blond lady?
