Parvo, schmarvo.
Not letting you pick your puppy by actually seeing the puppy itself, if its personality will fit with yours? You have to select it online only? Nonsense.
How do you know its temperment? Its personality? This breeder obviously does not care at all about matching their puppies with the right families and vice versa to ensure a long, loving relationship. (Unless they're saying you can't come see the puppies until you pay for one online and then you can come see the litter and pick from the litter. Even then I wouldn't do it (paying in full before seeing puppies, I mean)).
"How reasonable is a non refundable deposit on an upcomming litter or a puppy whom we havent seen ........... ? Not even a picture ?"
If it's a reasonable deposit, like $100, I would willingly pay it for a litter I liked before that litter was born. I have done this, actually. If there hadn't been a puppy in the litter I wanted, I would've rather lost my $100 than take a puppy I didn't want. Not even the best planning of a litter always produces what one wants, right?
The reason I think a non-refundable deposit is reasonable is because I know that breeders hear from people who promise, promise, promise that they want a puppy from a certain litter, but when the time actually comes to pay up, they don't come through. Meanwhile, other, better buyers have been turned away because Ms. X and Mr. Y were so definite they wanted puppies that the other buyers went elsewhere. Putting down some cash I think serves to weed out a lot of the insincere "buyers" who aren't really buyers but want you to think they are.

If your going to pay $1800 for a dog then you'd better be happy with what you buy. For that price you could have a dog from Prager and have the dog shipped to you crate and all.
I used to have Paypal for my rescue donations. I dont see anything wrong with using it.
Whatever happened to personal service. I put more time into perspective adopters for my rescue dogs.

As for the Board, I aggree with most comments about not being able to see the Sire and Dam as mentioned. There is no hidden agenda here, my kennell name is my own name, which also includes my email, my picture is also on my site along with mission statement. All the dogs are there along with pups, to include their working videos. Anyone can call me at anytime and I will provide you contact info from counless people who have purchased our pups. As for the poster, show yourself , I suspect that we all will deal with this type of slander at some point or another and I hope that I have answered questions about me. If not, feel free to call- Home-813-926-8545 ; Cell 813-245-9729. Thanks Bill.

I agree- for donations it makes a lot of sense and for many purchases it makes a lot of sense, but still it soesn't sit well with me when I see it on a kennel website as a means to buy a puppy. I would like to give the kennel the benefit of the doubt and hope that this is just a means for payment AFTER all the other necessary screening and communication with the buyer has taken place.
