My female usually comes into season every 4.5 months or so. She too will start to lose her undercoat and guard hairs several weeks before her season starts. She loses all the ruff around her neck and her coat looks duller too. As she nears the end of her season, you can see her coat becoming shinier and thicker again.

I can see the first photo, but not the second photo. For some reason it is showing as a red x.
I can see what you mean about her coat. I think it is pretty normal for a lot of females to lose quite a bit of coat when they are in season. My female sometimes looks like she has been shaved on her neck. This is where she tends to lose her coat the most as you can see in the photo below.

I have uploaded that second photo three times, I'm ready to chuck this computer out the window. I don't know why it isn't working.
No offence taken Beetree, I thought that pic depicted her shiny coat and nice pigment, compared to the next one, where she looks much different, and that unfortunately won't show for some reason.
Well, she obviously doesn't want to be seen in this state. Can't say as I blame her.

RedS: Did you follow that photo thread? About pixels etc? I bet you need to tell your computer to resize your photo. I am a MAC person so I probably can't tell you how to do that, just that you should try it, first. A PC person can explain it.
