He loves to bite the sleeve, but when he drops the sleeve he  will keep his eye on the helper even when some one else pick up the sleeve, till the helper leaves the field. He also will not engage the sleeve by another person till this trainer helper leaves the field. Actually what Im saying is he is agressive with just the club helper.

Sounds like a real nice young dog, but it does sound like just  a little bit of an OB issue, since it should always be you who decides whether or not the dog can engage, the dog is not to determine this himself.     For example, my helper is also my coach, but when we are working OB, or off the field,  my dog must be neutral to him, there is no circumstance where my coach/helper pets or plays with my dog, but  unless my helper/coach is agitating him in protection my dog must remain neutral.   My dog  is not equipment focused, and he is a very serious dog, so it is extremely  important from a liability standpoint and a responsibility standpoint that I never let him think he can decide when and who to engage.

THAT SAID,  we here on the forum can't see what's happening at club with your dog.  Therefore, take what all of us here say with a VERY large grain of salt!  The people you should be asking are the helper, the  experienced members of your club, and your clubs TD..  I figure you know this already, so my question to you is what do they say about it?

EDITED TO ADD:  Oh okay, you added the bit about your dog has only been doing grip work for a very short time while I was posting.  Many helpers do not want the dog to be friendly towards the helper, especially in the beginning and if they are a little bit older when starting the work.  I wouldn't be too worried if I were you,  but since it is on your mind, I would definitely ask about it at club.  It would be great if you could get back to us with their response.

Gouda-I think that you should just give your "man focused" showline. Wouldn't want you to have to deal with a dog like that.

Is the particular helper the same person each time? Or are there other helpers? Maybe the dog just doesnt like this one person and in that case there wont be much you can do about changing the dogs mind. HOWEVER engaging with this helper off the field should not be allowed. I dont know if I would consider it so much of an OB issue but more of a "lack of respect" issue and the lack of respect is with YOU.  It isnt up tp him to choose what to do. Its yours and you need to remind him of that whether the dog likes the guy or not.
