Yup, correct everyone.  Are they not handsome?  and huge?    I like what I read in the temperament, kinda like a GSD.

Over the years I have watched and seen many breeds trialed in the Sport .

Marcia Goverdnik is well known for her Airdale and she is the first one to put a RH1 on the Airdale . I think, I have that right.

There were two Bouviers that my trainer retrained from somewhere here in Texas and Evin Stanley and he, had one hard time  RETRAINING the pair...  Quite hard headed and a very dominant dog. Also got scared half out of my wits long time ago went on a Sypetic job with a friend and the two Bouviers were in a huge home and AFTER I had gone to the patio glass door....I was told   Stay away from the door......Plow!    HUGE   hairy MONSTERS hit the door faster than I could run..

Owners were away for the week end....

I have three Schnauzers in my family.

Daughter has trained all three in sports not Schutzhund and they are very protective , very quick and even a medium Schnauzer will take on the enemy and be very defensive..

Still looking for more contacts, the thread took a direction off topic.

Try Armin Winkler. Don't think he has any litters but he might be able to put you in touch with someone who does. He's probably forgotten more about Riesenschnauzers that most others here in the states know.

You can contact him through  www.schutzhundvillage.com  .

You might also contact Michelle Testa at  www.myrivercottage.com  .

I train with Yadi Henriquez in the NJ/NY area; he has experience training GSs and also does some GS breeding.  You can find his contact information and read more about him and his dogs at the below website.

Also try contacting Dean Anderson of the Deleware State Police. He actually worked a GS on the DSP k9 unit years ago. He has contacts to working GS.
