Not saying other breeds don't do the same, but at this point in life I have GSDs.
But what is the fascination with snow? It can be a scientific hypothesis or a layman's description. I'm thinking somewhere along hereditary/genetics. Only because even when they have never seen snow before in their life, say a pups first winter, they still are fascinated with it as if they have always been around it. Looking over all the pics and watching my dogs they NEVER tire of it!

Hehe, my dogs LOVE the snow too! Even my 9 year old GSD who has seen countless snows still acts like a puppy when she gets in it. It's cute to watch. :)

The puppy in the photo was born in September 2008 and came to our home in November 2008, the first week here it snowed and he just loved it - I wonder why they like it so much - could it be from their "wolf" genetics????? Would be fascinating to find out.
Pics attached - Every year he goes doolally for snow.
