could anyone please tell me,what colors might be had from breeding a bl/red male with a solid bl female, does it go back to there parents also ? thanks

Where's our genetics expert?  I saw him post a real detailed response to another question.

Here's the short story:  If the male does NOT carry the black recessive gene you will not get any black puppies in the litter.  They will be carriers of the black recessive gene.

If the male DOES carry the black recessive gene you will likely get a mix of blacks and black/red carriers.

Black/red carriers meaning carrying the black recessive, but would be bl/red looking.
