I am sorry, but I think she looks OK. She however shows me nothing special either in expression or in type. She looks quite frankly very ordinary. Would not know from whence she came or where she is going to. JMHO.

She's a german shepherd, so what she does is or can do is what counts most. But what I see is a physically pretty and balanced female (who would look better if better stacked -- her front legs need to be back an inch or two) with very nice lines and proportions. The pic is washed out, but I like her expression. I see from her pedigree that she is a few generations removed from dogs who are actively titling, so proving she can work is all the more important at establishing her value.
If she's working out for you, that counts for a lot!
Good luck!

Echo---If she's healthy and smart, with a willingness to please, and not some uncontrollable-risk-management project, then you're already ahead of the game. Her owner sent you the picture because she's proud of her--leading me to believe she's loved and being properly taken care of. Cassa is a very nice looking girl, and her face shows a distinct personality that is anxiously waiting to be doing 'better things' than posing for a photo. This is not the usual repetitious, down-n-out, subservient, 'I have no life' stare that I've come to know so well. (She's talking to her owner with those eyes.)
When I typed in Cassa's name on GSD search, another EchoMeadow female's pedigree was displayed----Cassidy. Nice dog, also. Made my day seeing the love and pride expressed by her owner. That's one dog that won't be exchanged a couple of years down the road------Well done, Echo.

LMH Thank You, Yes miss Rylee does love her "daughter" (she calls her) Cassidy She's good girl too. Both those pups are working sch. and will be going up for BH's later in the year. Cassa is only just a year old, and Cassidy is 2 in October (I think off the top of my head).
Ya it's too bad that Mom and Grandma were not started in training when we bought them both have really nice drive, But are too well behaved to go on now, They have excellent manners and just want to heel nicely on the field and they will sit for the "prize" but will not run out to get it, they just have too much inhabition to go there. Just the way they were raised I guess.
I know the photo is not the best, her front legs are way out, it's obviously a free stack, and the "washout colors" are not anyones fault but mine, had to photo shop the photo to take out the dark shade that she was standing in when her owners took the photo. She does have super nice color, Mostly she is a cherished family member in her family, sleeps on the bed with the daughter, and goes out on sch field and gives her all, She attended a tracking seminar where she received high praise for her enthusiasm, pulling, and deep nose on the track. The guy giving the seminar said she has excellent consentration and dedication to it for her young age.
I'm happy that our puppies are so loved !! And that we are so blessed to be in such close contact with out owners.
Thank You for your thoughts, sorry bout the photo not being the best, Mitch

Echo---I just went on your website, and in the 'puppies sold 2006' there was a Litter "C" displayed. Picture #6 which is Cassa working with her owner and a helper is an even better picture of her.

Sunshine, Oh yes exactly ! and that's actually what is happening, She is supposed to start showing this fall, go for KKL after her sch1, and we would like to see if she can take her all the way to sch3 before breeding. And the folks that have her, just picked up a female from our latest litter our F litter which is full sister to Cassa, higher drive though. We gave the pup to them at 85% discount for all the hard work they have done with Cassa and continue to do, and this pup having even more drive, we expect them to go all the way with her as well. Great owners are hard to find, but when you do, We have to reward them well !!! being able to hand her a pup at a huge discount was very satisfying knowing what a great life this pup will have.
LMH ya that's a cool pic, everyone in her club really likes her alot, they like her drive and say she has a good committed bite. Her tracking is proving exceptionally impressive. and owner reports her ob as very good with great focus. all around a nice dog, I am just glad that her owners love her and continue with her training with such dedication. I consider myself lucky to have them.
