There are 2 gray colored bumps on either side of my dogs penis. (so 4 total) The 2 on the right side are in the exact same place as the 2 on the left side. Is this normal? When I touch them they don't seem to irritate him at all. And it is weird because they are in the exact same place on either side! I was trying to look at photos of other german shepherds to see if all gsd's had them, but I could not see.
Can someone please tell me if this is just normal or what it potentially could be?
Thanks

Hi Matt,
These are male teats, just like you have two on your chest hopefully! and the female GSDs have them to feed there puppies, hope this as put your mind at rest its normal for your male to have them.
you will probably find 2 more further up his chest, but may have been covered by hair, that's maybe why you have not seen them.
Regards Milly

Matt478,
I flipped out with my stud dog's "teats" at first too! I had owned females my whole life and then I kept a male and he had these weird bumps, and luckily I asked my vet, he just smiled at me :) "They're teats" he says with a big grin, and of course, I blushed, being really embarassed.
