Hi I was wondering if there is a way of inducing heat in females who are not coming into heat for quite some time. Some natural way, diet variation or otherwise medicine induced heat. I hope that its not a weird question that I have asked here.

I believe in following nature's course. If we have a bitch with any reproductive problems we spay the dog. I've learned the hard way. Save your money and the heart break.

I agree with Sue-Ann, let nature take it's course. I had a female who one time took 10 months to come into heat after puppies. I was worried because she had been sick around whelping time. I just waited and she finally came into season and since then she comes in every 6 months like clockwork. Her body knows best. What's the hurry? I'm curious--how long has it been without a heat cycle and how old is she?
