did you do an EPT? LOL. Usually, depending on the breed and size, you will see wait gain after a month. Nipples get big and she will have a craving for pickles and ice cream. The best way to know is the vet.

Have a vet check dones, they can usually palpitate after 28 days. We have an ultrasound done at about 32 days also.

Palpation is the least scientific form of verifying pregnancy, although some vets develop a very good feel for it..more art with a little sceince thrown in! Ultrasound after 28 days or the Snap blood test is often the most accurate ways... Around 2 weeks, my girls develop what I call a "poochy belly" which is noticeable when they stand stretched up on their hind legs.. just an ever so slight bulge, more feel than anything .. but it's always been the first sign I notice

and just like with other species, it is somewhat different with each and every female. Palpation, much before the 24th or 25th day is very unreliable, and then there is a small window where a talented dvm can sometimes feel what seems like a small string of pearls that lies next to and long the intestine. Note, if you are going to take your bitch to have her palpated, have her go to the bathroom before she sees the vet so that there is less liklihood that what he will be feeling might be a bit of stool along the intestinal tract. After about day 36 to 38, the uterine horns fill with fluid to protect the fetuses and distinct sacs can no longer usually be determined. Of course, the best detection bar none for pregnancy is... wait 63 days. :) Good luck!!

Hello, As symphony stated, females may display various signs in the beginning of pregnancy. Mine for instance, will try to get as much food as possible, sometimes she will try to eat just everytrhing. Some may try to build a nest, mine strats "digging" in the whelping box after about 14 days into pregnancy. Now palpation is one thing, i would let only a Vet do, who is very experienced, there can be a lot of harm done. I always do a an ultrasound around day 21 -25. This will only tell you that there are cell mases, the Vet can count, but that will be not very dependebel. Than i useally have annother ultrasound done at day 58 - 60, we count again and the number is normally right, +- 1. Hope this helps. Regards Ulli Dresbach

I will watch my girls "girl parts" if they stay swollen we have puppies if not then she didn't take. That would be the first sign. And then around 5/6 weeks she will get a belly. My show line females will show earlier than my working line girls.
