I just recently had a litter of pups, and to my surprise there are livers in the litter, both liver/red and liver sables (the pedigree is all West German showlines, sable comes from Timo Berrekasten). Until now, I had never given any consideration to the livers or blues. But now I am curious to see some who have earned titles.
(and btw...for those who are going to ask. No, I do not intend to get involved with intentionally breeding off-colors)

Considering you say you don't intend to get into breeding off colours you are asking a lot of money for them $1200 , so for that price you must intend selling them on with full papers for others to continue breeding that colour ?. You advertise them as being ideal for Schutzhund yet they are showline bred ????????.

If you breed a long coat and make sure you do it with a non-carrier you will end up with only short coat.
Also all the liver (5 ) i had to pleasure to met had all allergie problem or immune system problems..I think it speaks for itself!
But it doesn't remove their working abilities..If someone buy a live or blue and wants to work it and put titles..I don't see any problem with it..you should not breed them thought.. JMO

He is training one of the sable males but he does not train in a club..he is a long time trainer whose dad was an akc Judge. There are several lines in that pedigree that have liver productions in them.

there is no evidence suggesting the dilute colors are not as healthy as the normal colors.
most dilute pups are placed as pets, so you often do not see them in working homes. I saw a blue male with a SCH1 years ago.
