I just want to make a comment. People get upset when we ask for a price but then how do I know I'm interested if the dog is more than I can go. Please put prices in your adds. Thank you. Rita

There's a very good reason why sellers don't put prices in their ads. You see, if the seller listed a price they would have to be fair and charge everbody the same thing. By not listing a price, the seller is hoping a moron (like myself) will contact them and pay 10 times more than the dog is worth. It's sort of like automotive repair shops. The less you know about cars, the more they can overcharge you. Based on my personal experience,it would seem some breeders are the same way.

I don't understand the reason why kennels in the US charge so much more than buying over seas. I contacted a well known kennel in Germany for a price of a working line pup out of V rated parents for about 1,500 dollars, then I contacted a US kennel for a working line pup with Vrated parents and it turned out to be about 2,750 dollars. whats the deal?

Basically most pups in Germany come with no guarantees. You buy it, have a problem, tough doodles. There are some breeders over there that do make it right, but I haven't see alot of it. Here in the US everyone expects everything to have a warranty of some sort, whether it is a pet, a car, a toaster. So breeders charge for that buyer wanting to have everything guaranteed on a puppy.

Do you remember when you could go to Russia and sell a pair of Levi's for around $100? If you really wanted to you could ship dogs all day long for a cheaper price than you can find here. The only way the price of a dog will go down is if everyone stops buying or starts breeding. It is a very well known sale practice to omit the price. They want you to call and ask about thaeir product. They want to be able to sell you on the fact that their product is worth the price.

when i see breeders asking 2.500 to 4.500 they say german breeders do not guarantees there puppys, with a puppy there is no guarantees,to much play into a puppys health, temperment ect,do your home work, research the pedigrees, but if you find a breeder who will guarantees the puppy will be v.a. or v.and can work good enought to get schH.3 TITLE then the puppy will be worth that kind of price,......

Here is an ad I placed here on this board with a very specific request. I have yet to have anyone respond with my requested information.... http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/marketplace.viewad?id=34666 Even though it turns out the photo I used is of a male that someone mistakenly placed under a female progeny section, it gets the point across. I doubt I could have been any more specific in my request. I know there are many many females out there matching my request. Either they dont read these boards, dont want to let that female go, or are deceptive. I think when a deceptive breeder reads an ad like mine, they dont bother responding knowing I'll call their bluff. So far still waiting.
