I'd appreciate any opinions on this 9 month old sable female. I was told she was one of 6 pups (out of a litter of 14) that came down with Parvo at the age of 6 weeks. Two of the Parvo pups died and they managed to save the other 4. Will the Parvo she had as a pup affect her as an adult? Also, they are asking $3500. Does that sound like a fair price considering her pedigree and the fact that she is a longcoat? Here's a link to a few pictures and her pedigree. (The pics were taken a few days ago.) http://kreativekennels.com/janeska_ped.htm

honest , it will be a good workingdog , but $500 was for me enough ,not only her longhair is the obstruction for a breed survey , what do you think by yourself of the conformation?

I've raised a few litters that came down with parvo when I was doing rescue. I don't recall any problems in the long run with any of the survivors of these litters. I think $3500 for a 9 month old longhair is steep. You should be able to find a very nice standard coat working female with a BH and AD for that price.

Yeah I don't think there is a long coat worth that amount. Not to anybody breeding for standards anyway. I would never pay that much for a dog I would NEVER breed.

Hell no!

I think the price is a little steep as well. As for conformation there's something about her back (topline?)that doesn't seem quite right but could just be the way she is standing. I'm really starting to like the sables, but not sure if this is the right one. Some of the black sables (at least in my opinion) look better than the solid blacks. And I really like the solid blacks.

If you go to their adults for sale page where you found her, right below her is her full brother Venom. His topline looks just like hers. I don't care for it either.

The price is a LOT steep. Long-hair should be sold as pet, with no breeding rights, for pet price. molly

I drool over this kennels breedings often. I really like one of their studs but with their prices, there is no way in hell I would buy from them, even though they are in my home state and I could see the dogs firsthand. I could buy and ship 3 puppies from the breeder I am already happy with, for the cost of that 1 long hair. Waaaay too rich for my blood. Even at 9 months who's to say it will be a winner? Nope nope nope, I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole.

Ha HA 4-PACK! Beautiful! Tell it like it is! anyhow - TRIODEGIRL - There are lot's of DECENT breeders out there NOT looking to take advantage of people & WANT to sell good dogs to Better the breed, like it should be done. Take advantage of those people - I recommend "www.rwk9.com" and talk to Susan. She is really cool, knows her stuff, and DOES not gouge people's eyes out on the pricing or quality. Oh - if anybody else knows of good breeders to recommend, please feel free to do so. We gotta take care of our own, and if we can better the breed while doing it, right on. august
