and if Im not mistaken this dog also had a history that originated with him

The canine world has suffered an incredible loss.

we will all miss Jiri Novotny a great and well known breeder around the world, a honored man with so much knowledge about the german shepherd, the genetics and the czech border Patrol dogs.

sad news but time quite merciless. Jiri did ample contribution to GS world during his life.
let's hope his knowledge and experience not gone with him but remains to be in use by his followers and true GS aficionados.

OH NO, he was such a good guy. I spent a week in Czech with him years ago and had a great time. May he rest in peace.

Wow very sad. I don’t think it’s too much to say that Jiri and his Czech breeding program greatly contributed to saving the breed.
I corresponded with him over the years and owned a Reno JipoMe son. He was always a gentleman.
Does anyone know the details of his passing?

I am sure that his great German Shepherds in the after life are there to help him transition to the heavens above.
