Advice on how to properly name our kennel welcome.
I originally wanted to use a long name but now I'm doing a business plan and thinking of naming it after my recently deceased Girl, Ziva, that I lost to Cancer. I guess what I'm asking is what is preferable? Long names or Short? Of course I would like to be sure that I'm also proper in naming because I don't want to look like a fool.
Thanks in advance...

Depends why you want to do this. If you have no plans for long-term publicity, if it's just for something that you like the sound of in Registering your dog(s), you can just go for what you like; whether it is lengthy and unpronounceable, or difficult to spell or remember, or relates to something in the ancestry of your dog(s), or anything else, is entirely down to you. If nobody else much expects to use it for anything, what's to stop you choosing whatever you wish ? Except that Kennel Clubs do not usually Record kennel names that are already held by someone else, and you check that out with your KC, there are no Rules - unless your Kennel Club puts a limit on, for example, the number of words or letters that can be used.
However: if you intend your kennel name to become well-known, for whatever reason; if you intend to try to shine in one or other dog sports, or the conformation Showring, or you want to go on and breed from your dogs, then consider this:
Should I want to buy a puppy, or research the heritage of a winning dog, or trace the history of some genetic feature or fault, then it always makes my life easier if dogs' Registered names are easy to read and remember. So a Kennel Name which is difficult to spell because it is overly long and / or in an unfamiliar language can be hard to find and a PIA.
The Kennel Names I would consider particularly 'good' and easy to find for reference purposes are therefore those which: reflect the language of the country of the dog; can be recognised &/or spelled easily; are therefore fairly short and to the point, and can be easily recalled. Better yet if there is some measure of humour to them !

The Organic Pet mrdarcy is right you already have a Kennel name registered on the PDB. Members are only allowed one Kennel name. So if you create a new one this one will be removed.
