Pregnant and bleedng - Page 1

I have read some on this and wanted more insight. I have read "go to the vet", why are you posting on here! For those questions: I am posting because I want more answers. So to begin my Rottweiler has had 2 litters, this is her 3rd. She started spotting a little bit, pinkish blood, she is 30 days pregnant. I know a pinkish tint can be normal when the plug comes out. I was worried but watched her. She ate, drank, goes to the bathroom fine. The next day there was some pinkish brownish color, no smell, that I found near her so I drove her up to the University vet hospital (1 1/2) hr drive, but the only ones I have trusted. My dog did not have any blood coming out for the 2 1/2 hrs we were there. She had a slight cough and the vet put her on anti-biotics. We come home and of course my dog, Myna, starts bleeding that mucus brownish pink for 1/2 hr. then stops the rest of the night. In the morning she bleeds again, stops the rest of the day, at night bleeds again. No more pinkish stuff though. But once in a while a glob of brownish pink. She eats, drinks, goes to the bathroom, lays around but bounces up when she hears someone at the door. I know dogs should not bleed, I know some do, same as women being pregnant. Any insight would be great.

AFAIK, this is NOT normal. It could be she has an infection in her uterus. I think you need to go back to the university vet hospital and have further investigation done. I think they should do an ultrasound and test the discharge for infection.

Had a friend's dog develop a brownish pink discharge during the last 2 weeks of pregnancy. She lost the whole litter, and had to be spayed. 

Fetal demise or pyometra...........ultrasound .............not even a little bit normal

If you're really lucky, a yeast infection/similar. But, depending on what it is, you could lose the puppies, your bitch's fertility, or even your bitch. The best chance for saving any/all is with prompt diagnosis and treatment.

I'm not a vet or a vet tech, so take my comments with a whole big water softener-sized block of salt... and see a vet ASAP.

I have whelped a full alphabet of litters over an 11 year period. NOT NORMAL. This has NEVER happened to me and I would be parking myself at the vet until they figure it out. Did they at least ultrasound to check fetal heartbeats/viability? Any suspected pus pockets on u/s?

for sure this is definitely not normal, it looks as she reabsorbs the puppies. Didn't you do an ultrasound to check if she is still pregnant? Or have you done an ultrasound at all to confirm pregnancy ? Usually it is done around 30 days after breeding.
