AKC Conditional Registration Certificate and Pedigree

A dog with Conditional Registration has some unknown ancestors. The dog’s registration number will start with the letter ‘Q’ and the dog will have competition and breeding restrictions. Below is a sample Conditional Registration Certificate, showing the special border and (in this case) an unknown sire.

Since these dogs are not proven through DNA testing to be by the sire stated they were marked unknown. Dogs need to be proven purebred dogs or not allowed to be on the Pedigree Database.   The Admin at this time are allowing dogs that were already entered by adding next to the Registration Number CONDITIONAL REGISTRATION for all future progeny.  It is important that members of the PDB know the reason the dog has this next to their dogs pedigree.
