As stated I am new here. I stumbled on this site and put my GSD's name in and voila there she was. I am LOST. I cannot figure out for the life of me how to see pictures of her lineage. I would like to see pic's of her parents and any sibligs., granparents etc.
She just turned 7, she has been spayed.....not my choice.
She was "rescued" from abusive owners. We are inseperable
I just went through a nasty divorce, after 28 years of marraige, long story. But Alexa has been my salvation. I never knew I would talk to a dog as much as I do...LOL
So any how her name (as on the book? akc) is alexa v sachsenwappen
She did come from Germany as the papers are all in German
Any help, Knowledge or education would be of great value.
BTW I have had her about 4 years, I do not read German, although all of her commands are in german.
Thanks to all
Wayne

Wayne,
Go to GSD Search in the upper left hand corner of your screen.
Type in her name, as you have it written above is fine.
It will come up with her name reg# etc. Click on her name.
This will bring you to her page. On this page you will see her pedigree; several of her ancesters have pictures (not all dogs on here have pictures)
To see her siblings click on "Siblings" which is located above the pedigree along with "progeny" and a few other choices.
When you click on "Siblings" you will see a list of brothers and sisters and half brothers and sisters. The names with a little camera next to them have pictures.
Her page address is http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/323221.html
Hope this helps,

Fires:
She is a beautiful dog. It's amazing what our wonderful shepherds can pull us through. Seems you have rescued each other.
This database is incredible, isn't it?

Thank you for the comments. I now can see why she looks like she does. It appears that she comes from a "helluva" line.
Showdogs!!!!! wow I am impressed, what a shame that the previous owners abused her. When I got her she was 75 lbs. She is at 103 now....kind overweight....lol
It was a policemans daughter that rescued her. She did a fantastic job on the training( all in german) as Alexa (when she is in her command mode) outperforms some K-9 dogs I have seen, well.......until she sees a cat.
Yes this site is amazing.
And yes the ex cheated on me for 5 years with 4 guys, Alexa is unconditional love. I am a firefighter here in Fla and no matter how bad the "shift" gets I know when I get home I get one hell of a greeting!!!!!!!!
Now if I can find a human (femle) companion with all the traits of her I would have it made....LOL

Hmmm...Wayne, you talk like that and you may have some Floridians sending you their email address. (smile)
At any rate, she is a good looking dog. And if she is your salvation through a difficult period, all the better.
And yes, this site is simply fantastic. Thank you Oli.

I could not be so lucky...lol
Yes it is hard to believe that this dog is what really got...gets ...me through all the turbulence. And I will not slight my 2 daughters. But they live away, so Alexa is the one!!! It is so nice to hear her breathing at night when I cannot fall asleep, LIFE....ahhhhhhh!!!!

Im glad you got yourself a nice dog. Rescues always seem to capture my heart. Im not so much into the showlines as I am the working lines, and have not studied showlines much but she does look like she has a good pedigree.
Both her sire and dam are both SchH3 titled. If you dont alreadly, I think you should try her out at a Schutzhund club. There is ALOT of them here in FL, depending on where you live. I know you said she was 7, but you never know what a dog can do untill you try.
These are some Schutzhund clubs from USA and DVG in FL, there is alot so you can call around and see which one is clostest to you :-)..
