I know this Dachshund board is rarely visited, hopefully that will change in the future.
I and a friend of mine recently acquired 11 miniature/tweenie AKC adult Dachshunds from 2 different kennels that were selling out. We're excited to be a part of this lovely breed now. We plan to show in AKC and UKC conformation and Earth Dog events. We have long, short and wirehairs. Our current colors are black, chocolate, isabella, blue tanpoints and cream and red. We have 1 pied, 2 dapples and 1 brindle. Both kennels had been raising Dachshunds for around 2 decades so we're proud to have dogs from such good bloodlines.
Our new kennel affix is Meister Kennels

lol, cool, I was worried about no-one coming to this breed area.
building websites now, I'll post them when they're done. I also need to do a lot of work entering pedigrees into the database too.

Euro, Yeah , I have been having alot of fun adding dogs here too.. Dont get too fustrated, sometimes when you add the Grandparents- or start from the back , they don't pop up when you try to add a new dog. I found that just by keeping going, and then going back and updating a lost parent that it shows up later. Also pay attention to Capitals, it causes alot of issues when your trying to add a dog in the back of the pedigree to the current dog your working on.
Yeah !! We can build it up :) Whisper

lol, I haven't even started yet, dreading it. I do better when I go on "marathon" all day long entering data.

I will definately come to the Dachshund board (I am usually in GSD's). I have four male Doxies. One is chocolate/tan dapple. One is Chocolate/tan piebald. One is solid red. All of these are smooth coats. And I have a tan/white wire hair. I LOVE the beed as you can tell. LOL
