I'm doing a lot of driving for training now and am looking for a better/safer crate than the standard wire one I have. I want something secure, preferably with a lock, and that would hold up in case of an accident. I have done some research, but there are a lot of crates to choose from with prices ranging from $300-$1000. Does anyone have a recommendation? I have been looking at these: https://gunnerkennels and https://rufftoughkennels.com.
Does anyone have either of these?
Thanks

I have 2 of the RTK Xlarge one door crates. Have not used them tons yet, but for the money over the Gunner brand I really like them. And I got them with the original "plastic" doors. Really glad I did. The Dutch Shepherd can not destroy them. But I did sell the large I originally got for her. She is only around 52lbs in her working weight. But she is so long legged and long bodied that she had to fold her front legs to lay down in it. May have to add a few more vent holes come summer. They will do that for you.

I have RTK for my SUV and i love them, easy to clean, ordered the double door model so if someone should hit the back of the SUV i can still get the dogs out from the front. Plus added ventilation. Plus the RTK bolt together and are easy t mount into the chevy and easy to remove.
I have American bulldogs, but my friend i show a lot with has a Pharaoh hound who is quite tall and he fits easily into them.

I have the RTK kennels. I can fit 2 of the 400 size in the back of my Sorrento. However, my male GSD is pretty cramped in it. My female is fine with the size but she is built small/compact.
I love the crates, they are durable and easy to clean, fit well.
When I haul just my male, I do use a homemade aluminum crate my hubby built for me. If I haul both, then I have to use the RTK.
