I would be appreciative of any positive feedback and I thank you in advance for the same.
2016 was a terrible loss to my program; between loss of a female and 2 bad purchases, I am restructuring my group.
In the spring of 2018 I will be looking for a female and in the fall of 2018 a male.
If anyone has any recommendations, US or abroad, I would be grateful.
I am looking for:
-Full DDR pups; preferably with the old school lines; comparable to my own. However, I'm making a new start after 14 years so I'm open to any advice/suggestions and venture out of my comfort zone :-)
-Breeder should be HONEST and PROVEN to both produce working/breeding dogs and BE ABLE TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE. (puffing doesn't count)
-References should be available.
Regards,
Sharon

Quick question? how do you tell if its pure DDR? No VA Lines on both Dam and Sire? Untrained and untitled get from oldtime breeders who donot either show or get into the sport ring? Unknown or not famous dogs but with remote linebreeding on old prestigious DDR dogs? Are my assumptions correct?

You can only tell by checking the pedigree. You will see on the site several dogs that are listed and verified 100% DDR that were checked by Fantom76 Admin, the pedigree guru here.

DDR registered or SZ registered?
OP, take a look at Zwinger vom Parchimer Land, Germany, and never forget: even in case a dog is out of DDR dogs, without proof of temperament and working ability these dogs may be pets only, no difference to any other lines...

Iwo vom Parchimer Land is definitely not an example of a pet quality DDR dog. His great grandsire is Lord vom Gleisdreieck, a top quality working line dog . He was V1 in the 1985, 86 and 87 DDR-Deutschen Meisterschaften (similiar to the BSP).
I just corrected his pedigree as there was a wrong dog in there and I also added some dogs to it.

Here in the US, Malinda Weber is actively involved in IPO and is a police dog trainer - Weberhaus GSD in Kansas. She has several all East German Lineage dogs that are titled, health tested and breed surveyed.
Ted Bellmyer in Southern California just won the 2017 southwestern USCA Regional with his all East German male El Diablo vom haus Fasold. Last month he finally submitted hip and elbow xrays on his (Now 6 year old dog) and got OFA GOOD/Normal and I believe he is planning to do some breeding.
Christine Kemper at Blackthorn is another involved with the East lines and has been in IPO, one of the pups she produced is currently doing very well in PSA and USCA Blackthorn's unlawful activity, call name Felon
There are lots of breeders out there and some are very experienced with the East lines. Jean Schrader is very good at reading her dogs and has produced nicely. Wizard von Schraderhaus is of her breeding and he titled to an IPO3 in the past couple years.
I have a couple all East German Lineage dogs that are titled and health certified. Some are better working dogs than others. My boy Bosco- V Vilko von der Feuersaule IPO3, KKL and I are actively competing. We have trialed several times in the past year with our most recent being at the DVG Regionals and god willing, planning to be at the DVG nationals this year.
Hope that gets you started on talking to some breeders- Good luck and keep us posted on what you eventually get
