So, this is Max. I bought him off Facebook. The worst thing that could happen for dogs.

I seen an ad, jerman Shepard 4 sale, 4 months old. (I thought this poor dog, let me take a look).

Needless to say, I bought him. And am I ever so glad to have come upon that ad. The only reason I even checked the ad  I out was because of the spelling. I was thinking what the heck could this  I poor pup even look like.An image

I certainly was not in the market to buy a new dog. I had just decided to keep my  Boinka boy, from Cookie,

An image.  And, I had just taken back a pup from a couple that couldn't  handle a female pup from my previous litter. The pup was determined that she was going to be boss.

An image.  I did not need another dog. I have a few already, plus it's been like non stop 'mud' in New York.

But when I seen Max, I had to get him, no matter what.

Nice looking boy! No wonder you weren't able to resist...

Were the sellers able to tell you anything about his breeding?

Sunsilver- the seller didn't t know nothing, but I did. HE WAS/IS MY PUP!
I sold him over 2 months earlier to a totally different guy. Words cannot describe how pissed I was.
All the while I am waiting for the guy to bring him to me, I am thinking what I am going to do to this guy when he gets here (I can assure you, none of it good). It was all going to be dependant on what condition my pup was in, mentally and physically.
Lucky for him my pup was fine!
When Max got out of the car and realized that it was me, he started crying, jumping all over me, kissing me.
It was when his sister came up to the car and they greeted each other, like long lost family, that I wanted to cry.(I actually did).
The two of them began playing ,crossed the driveway into the horse pasture and ran and played,,, and played some more.
Of course all the other dogs came out to see what was going on and they all was like, welcome back, where have you been!
I was going to keep both of them Ey both

They both had been to New homes, Max already to two. I can t take that pass around dog crap. Esp. not my dogs!

An imageso, here they are, typical brother and sister, fighting over a freezer pop,

An image.  Thankfully, something had me check that ad or who knows where my pup may have ended up.

And, the couple who returned his sister, due to her being too much, did return for her after I told them she had been running the excess energy off and was def made to listen. She is doing great now. Some dogs just need a strong owner. I tell everyone, they are no couch potatoes and a German Shepherd will walk all over you if you let them.

The original buyer apparently told me one lie after another. He came every week since pups were born to visit them. Go figure.

I used to ask, half jokingly if they needed me to write I will break your freakin legs, IF you cause harm to my pup. The other half was not a joke.

You got to be real careful who you trust.

Thought that was what your post title meant, KitKat - so glad he's home. Good, really, that the guy didn't wait any longer to get rid - but WHY do such people not come to the breeder they bought from FIRST, rather than sticking ads in Craigslist or whatever ? So much we don't ever get to understand about buyers who tell lies.

Glad you were able to get him, kitkat, instead of him landing in a bad situation. At least he looks like the first person and the ones you got him from were both taking decent enough care of him.

This is but one of the reasons I won't breed anything every again, save for food animals. And even with those, I'm picky as to where they end up going, too.

An imagehe is such a character, I am so glad he is home.

The entire situation made me rethink ALOT.

When I called the guy who visited weekly, who bought him, he get s an attitude with me, "what difference does it make" he asks, he went to a good home is what he said. So good I found him for sale on Facebook!

And the second guy says he is a really nice dog, but his girl was expecting a baby. I asked why he bought him in the first place knowing about the baby. No answer.

I really didn't t want to sell him to begin with but, this guy duped me good, thought I sent the pup to a wonderful home.

But for the funky spelling of the ad, I might have never found out about him.   The Lord works in mysterious ways

I meant to add, most people are very good about keeping me in the know about my pups, and sending pics and update s.

In fact many are repeat buyers, bringing friends and family and coming back after 12_15 years.

Two of the sisters of this litter went to the same people that has bought two sisters years ago. It was weird they both came at the same time, again. An imagethis is the sister that went to one of them.

They love her and she is doing great. Thank God
