Ok, ad is back.

by hexe on 19 November 2016 - 02:11

What's sadder yet is that in one of the ads she was in earlier this year, he said he was selling her now because he had her daughters so he didn't need to keep her anymore.

In which case, getting this poor creature out of that situation will help her, but she's got daughters who are being dealt with in the very same manner right now. These dogs are a cash crop.

I saw this ad and was horrified.. I did not see on the ad where in California this dog is located.. I am in Northern California and do have contacts with a couple rescues.
If someone Wants to email me maybe we can coordinate a place for this poor girl.

Where exact is this dog located??

She is located in Stockton, CA
Her litter is currently being advertised online... except the photos are not true to her current condition.
I wonder what the male she was bred to really looks like.
My heart breaks for this girl.

He's doing just what some "Reputable" breeders do, breeding a

bitch for up to 8-9 years old, only you don't see pictures posted of the

"Reputable" breeders 8-9 year old bitches.......only pictures of them when

they are two years old and looking great!   Wink Smile

Ryanhaus, this dog, in case Database is correct, is 9 1/2 years old right now ( Sasha vom Banks Hausenfleck ).
In case a female is healthy, strong, and well cared for, it may be okay to breed her at this age ( WHY AT ALL ??? ) -
but the female shown in the ad clearly is NOT healthy, strong, and well cared for...

I am not even able to see any muscles on her. Take a look at the rear, at the coat, at the expression.

Once again, in case anybody is willing to "adopt" her and the litter, I am willing to donate $ 100, that´s not much, but Bee and Ketcat are willing to help, too, maybe some others, and Swingfield giving her a forever home?
I wouldn´t even mind if the new owner is going to sell the pups - he or she should just be willing to take the best affordable care of this oldtimer ( no kennel, but a nice couch, good food, a lot of love, and vet care ).

I am willing to take her. My concern is shipping her this close to whelp. I would not be surprised if she ended up laboring early or having complications and needing a c-section. I have posted about her and hope someone closer to her geographically will come forward. We are running out of time. I think he said she is due Nov.30.

I agree there is no set "right" age to retire a dog- it depends on the dog's condition, but this dog is TOO OLD and her condition is awful!

Placing pups at rescue price with sterilization mandates or even doing it before they leave (but leaving hormones intact) would give money to help with her spay and continuing care. She isn't really that old- she could bounce back and have several good years. Just needs TLC.

This just in!

We have a ride for her, if the funding comes through. She cannot afford to pay for the trip herself and will be driving from Nebraska.

Personally, if people could chip in and front the money, I would be happy to pay anything back that was leftover once she was in good health and the pups were in homes. But if no one closer can buy her, and I end up taking her, I would feel much better making sure I can pay for a c-section or other potential complications that happen when you breed a dog like that.

Jenni78 -- Let me know what you need and how to get in contact with you. I set up an account to address his ad and never did. I got too caught up trying to sell my girl. Please send me a PM so I can assist.

" Awful " - the perfect word, Jenny.

I hate to support people by giving them money for something I know is wrong, but this dog struck a nerve.

I wouldn´t like to see her in a rescue, cause she IS due November 30, and she needs a good home, no passing around from one location to the next.

She needs someone willing to take care of her forever right now, in the best case someone who is able to pick her up as soon as possible by car, willing to raise a litter, afterwards loving her for what she is.
