This advert is so upsetting. PLEASE, someone nice get her out of there and give her the help she will need to get through this pregnancy, doubt she will get it where she is going by the state of her.

Wow, poor old girl should have been retired not bred. And why does it say on their website that they will be selling the puppies for $1,500 each? The very same ones she is pregnant with, that would thus belong to the new owner? How can they sell puppies they would not have once she has a new owner? This sounds very very much like a scam.

He says he will keep her and rear the litter is not sold by the end of the month so probably hedging his bets. If he isn't keeping her in good condition now, how will she manage with puppies as well, poor thing.

I saw this ad , too, and I really hope it´s a scam - kind of weird "humor" ( sarcasm?) ?

Without even looking, I know exactly the ad you mean.

I was half tempted to buy her and find her a retirement home. Poor dog- not breeding quality on her best day, and in horrible condition now. She looks 14.

I know which ad you're referring to as well, without having to look.

Sadder yet, this is probably the fifth time I know of that she's been advertised for sale here, and each time she doesn't sell, she's used to produce another litter. I wanted to reach through the screen and shake the owner when I read the ad, where he says, "She doesn't look like an old worn out dog, either"...because the photo of her screams otherwise. Frankly, she doesn't look like she's even healthy in that picture.

It's heartbreaking.

Goes back to my theory that buyers should be punished for keeping people like this bold enough to even think placing an ad like this is OK.
